Why this exists
Inheritance only finds what someone thinks to ask about
Probate is not a search engine. If nobody knows there is a broker in another country, nobody asks, and the account simply stays where it is.
- 5–15 places. A typical 35-year-old holds assets across a dozen institutions in two or more countries.
- One index. It exists only in your memory, and it is never written down.
- Zero warning. The scenario Legamap is built for is the one that gives you no time to prepare.
What you get
One map, in the hands of the people who will need it
You write down what you own, once, and keep it current. We hold it, and we deliver it to the people you named — but only after an independent confirmation that you are gone. Until then nobody sees it, including your recipients.

Written downStill only in your head
- Everything in one place. Accounts, property, pensions, insurance, crypto, valuables and debts — where each is held, in which country, and how to get access.
- The right people, the right parts. You decide who receives what.
- Nothing released by accident. Delivery requires confirmation from a person you name.
- A copy you hold. An encrypted export lands on your own device, so the map survives even us.
What it is not
Five things we deliberately do not do
- Not a will. Legamap has no legal force over who inherits what. It tells your family where to look; your will and your notary decide who gets it.
- Not a financial service. Legamap does not hold, move or manage money or assets, and it has no access to your accounts. It is not a bank, a custodian or an investment service, and it gives no financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
- Not a password manager. We do not store passwords, PINs, seed phrases or full account numbers — and we will not let you store them either.
- Not a document vault. You can attach documents, but the product is the structured map. We tell your family what exists.
- Not zero-knowledge encrypted. Our servers can decrypt your data, because on the day it matters your family will not have your key. We say so out loud.
Safeguards
What happens if you stop paying
Stop paying and your map goes read-only. For two years from your last payment, the check-ins continue and delivery still happens.
The protocol is built to be slow
Declaring a living person dead is the worst thing this system could do, so every default is set against it. Nothing is released until a person you have named confirms it.
