Refund Policy
Effective date: 26 August 2026
This policy is part of the Legamap Terms of Service and is operated by MB Kocius (company code 307051502, VAT LT100018675617, Lithuania, EU). It is deliberately short, because the policy itself is simple.
1. The short version
Every payment can be refunded in full within 14 days of the charge. No questions, no deductions, wherever you live.
EU law grants consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal. We do not look for exceptions to it, and we extend the same window to every customer worldwide — including customers outside the EU, to whom no law requires us to offer it.
We can afford this policy because of how the product is sold: you try Legamap free for 21 days, without a card, before you ever pay. By the time you pay, you know exactly what you are paying for.
2. Before the service opens
Legamap is not open yet, and it takes no money before it opens. There is nothing to buy, so there is nothing to refund. If you ever see a charge from us dated before opening day, it is an error — write to hello@legamap.com and it will be refunded in full, no discussion needed.
3. The trial
The 21-day trial requires no payment card and involves no charge. Nothing to refund. If you simply stop using it, your trial expires on its own and your data is deleted as described in the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
4. The 14-day refund window
The window applies to every kind of charge:
- Activation (including the founding price) — refundable in full within 14 days of the charge.
- Annual renewal — refundable in full within 14 days of the charge. We remind you by email before every renewal, so a renewal should never surprise you.
- Reactivation — refundable in full within 14 days of the charge.
Refunds are for the full amount you paid, including VAT or sales tax, to your original payment method, in the currency you paid in.
5. What a refund undoes
A refund returns your money and, with it, what the payment bought:
- A refunded activation returns your account to its pre-payment state. The delivery guarantee that the payment created is cancelled, and if your trial period has ended, the trial-expiry timeline in the Terms applies (with the usual warnings before any deletion). Your data is not deleted on the day of the refund — you always get the chance to export first.
- A refunded renewal or reactivation reverses what it bought: editing access ends and your delivery guarantee returns to the date set by your previous payment, as if the refunded payment had not been made.
We will always tell you, before processing the refund, exactly what state your account will be in afterwards.
6. After delivery
If the delivery protocol has completed and your map has been delivered to your recipients, the service that payment bought has been performed in full — a refund is no longer available for it. Given the 14-day window and how slow the protocol deliberately is, this situation is expected to be vanishingly rare.
7. How refunds are processed
Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, so refunds are too.
To request one: reply to your receipt email, use the refund link in it, or simply write to hello@legamap.com with the email address on the account — we will handle it with Paddle for you. You do not need to give a reason, though if something disappointed you, we genuinely want to know.
Refunds are issued promptly on our side; banks and card networks typically take a few business days to show the money back.
8. Stopping payment is not a refund matter
You never need a refund just to leave. Cancel renewal at any time and your account simply is not charged again: your map goes read-only and the delivery guarantee continues for the period defined in the Terms. Stopping payment is a normal, supported way to use Legamap — not a breach, and never punished with deletion.
9. Fair use
The refund window exists so no one is stuck paying for something they do not want. It is not a mechanism for free coverage — repeatedly activating and refunding to keep the guarantee alive without paying may lead us to decline further non-statutory refunds. Statutory rights are never affected by this section.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the law of your country. For EU consumers, this policy operates alongside the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal — in practice our window is the same or broader, and we do not apply deductions the law would allow.
